After
many years spent studying with the most influent italian drummers,
Alessia begins her career joining
FUNKY LIPS.
In 1994 she releases her first solo album
TO THE LIGHT,
immediately after she is called to tour Italy with the backing
band of songwriter
Dario Baldan Bembo.
In 1995 she's the first female drummer asked to endorse
UFIP
Cymbals.
In 1997 Alessia joins
B-Nario, opening act
of
Michael Jackson's unique gig in Italy at
s. Siro stadium in Milan (June 18).
In June 2001 she the first italian female drummer to be featured
on US magazine
MODERN DRUMMER.
In
2002 she opens with
ArX the concert for Telethon
in Torino (December 14th).
In 2004 Alessia quits ArX and founds
The Spins
with ArX keyboardist
Marcello Giordano. The
Spins first single
Hello Baby (released for
Dutch label
Dying Giraffe Recordings) reaches
in November #16 in
RadioWaveMonitor Charts
for Techno format.
In
the meantime, Alessia plays in the musical
Tutte le
Donne di Bob, then she's the first female drummer to
hold a drum clinic in France (Montluçon June 12), and
finally she peforms at
BAG' SHOW in Lyon (October
30th).
In 2005 Alessia plays along with
Thomas Lang
and
Walfredo Reyes Jr. at
Montluçon
Drum Festival (26 February) then, while continuing
her european drum clinic tour, in November she goes in the UK
for the first english tour of
The Spins.
